What Does A Full Pond Clean Look Like?

Step 1- Draining the Pond

The first step is to drain the water out of the pond. If the water is clear and not discoloured we will save it by pumping it into a water holding tank for later use; however, if the water is discoloured we will pump the water onto a suitable area in your garden and start to fill up a water holding tank with clean fresh water to use and refill the pond with.
Step 2 – Removing Aquatic Life

Once the water level in the pond is low enough we can start to safely remove any wildlife and fish from the pond placing them in an oxygenated dechlorinated holding tank. Once all the aquatic life and fish have been removed, we can finish pumping out the last of the water.
Step 3 – Removing Equipment and Plants
Step 4 – Removing Silt and Debris
Step 5 – Cleaning the Pond Liner

Once the bottom of the pond is cleared we can start to focus on the pond liner. Depending on the condition of the pond liner, we jet wash it, removing any limescale and Algae that has built up on the pond liner. If the pond liner is old we gently use a selection of brushes to remove the dirt and grime from the liner, starting from the top and gradually working down to the bottom.
